TRANSCRIPT: How Your Thoughts Become Your Reality
The Law of Attraction & The Law of Abundance
In today’s episode, we are going to explore and discover how your attitude fits into the results you’re getting. Now, I urge you to pay close attention to this because what follows is truly significant. If you can grasp this concept fully, it has the potential to profoundly impact your life. Let’s dive right in, shall we?
To fully understand why your situation is the way it is and how it can change, there must be a basic understanding of the principles behind the Law of Abundance and the Law of Attraction.
Now you've probably heard these terms before and maybe you've tried it and it didn't work for you, but don't completely dismiss it just yet, because the principles behind it existed way before scientists identified and proven its validity. We just haven't fully realized how to benefit from using it in our daily life. Because rest assured, regardless of whether you know it or not, you are using it every single day.
So, what exactly is the Law of Attraction and the Law of Abundance, what’s the difference between the two and how are they connected?
The Law of Attraction states that we attract the results that match our thoughts. In other words, the thoughts we focus on the most eventually become our reality. It revolves around the idea that our thoughts and feelings emit a vibrational frequency. According to this law, similar energies are drawn to each other, whether positive or negative. So when we focus on positive thoughts and emotions, we emit a positive energy that, in turn, attracts positive experiences into our lives. On the other hand, dwelling on negative thoughts can attract undesirable outcomes.
The Law of Abundance states that there is an unlimited supply of wealth, resources, and opportunities to anyone who wants it. It centers on the belief that the universe is inherently abundant, providing limitless possibilities and resources. When we align our thoughts and beliefs with the abundance mindset, we tap into this universal energy, attracting prosperity, opportunities, and fulfillment into our lives. In other words, if you want a million dollars, you can get a million dollars.
While the Law of Attraction is centered around the idea that like attracts like, drawing positive or negative experiences based on one's thoughts and beliefs, the Law of Abundance amplifies this principle. In essence, the Law of Abundance serves as the fertile ground on which the seeds of your thoughts, as guided by the Law of Attraction, can flourish. It's not just about attracting what you want; it's about tapping into the boundless abundance that surrounds us.
Both laws underscore the critical connection between your thoughts and the energy you emit into the universe. Positive thoughts generate positive energy, which in turn aligns you with the vibrational frequencies of abundance and positivity. Conversely, negative thoughts produce lower vibrational frequencies, attracting experiences that resonate with that negativity.
By understanding and consciously applying these laws, you can shape the energy you emit, thereby influencing the outcomes you attract. Cultivating a positive mindset and embracing abundance as a natural state allows us to harness the powerful energy of these laws, guiding you toward a reality that mirrors your thoughts and aspirations. Basically, your thoughts are like magnets, drawing in energies and opportunities that resonate with the quality of those thoughts, whether they be scarcity-focused or abundance-oriented.
Now imagine if you can really tap into these energies so that you can use it to your advantage. And this is how…
Thoughts
It all boils down to your thoughts. EVERYTHING begins with a thought.
Your thoughts control your feelings, your feelings drive your actions, which then affects your results. Therefore, your thoughts are what determines your results when your thoughts are acted upon.
Once you understand this, you will know exactly why you've gotten the results you have, and you can predict the results you will get by applying intention.
Remember, your thoughts control your feelings, your feelings drive your actions, your actions determine your results. Now let’s break down each of these components – your Thoughts, Feelings, Actions, and Results – and how they’re connected.
Your thoughts are controlled by YOU. It is Independent, which means it is free from outside control, which means it can be changed with no other obstacles other than you. Thoughts are also interchangeable with beliefs. Now, some may argue that the beliefs they hold are facts because they've believed it for so long, and no one has ever contradicted its validity so it has to be true.
You see, sometimes knowing the difference between a fact and a belief can be challenging, because the line between them often appears blurred. So, what precisely sets a fact apart from a belief? A belief is a conviction or acceptance that something is true, even in the absence of concrete evidence or proof. Beliefs can be formed through personal experiences, cultural influences, upbringing, or faith, and they often shape an individual's perspective, values, and decisions. Beliefs are subjective and may vary among individuals and cultures.
A fact, on the other hand, is objective, measurable, verifiable, and universally accepted as true. A fact is neutral and has no meaning whatsoever until you apply a thought to it. Say for example, you have $25,000 in your bank account. That's a fact, it’s measurable, it’s a number, plain and simple. Now when you think, “that’s a lot of money,” that's an opinion, a thought, a belief that $25,000 is a lot of money. Because some people may argue that $25,000 is not a lot of money while others think it is. So the fact is, you have $25,000 in your bank account. It becomes a belief when you give meaning to it, thinking that it’s either a lot of money or not enough.
Now, I'm not going to argue what you should and should not believe or whether or not it's true. However, I will argue that your thoughts and beliefs should always serve you. So, I want you to ask yourself, "does this thought serve me"? Does this belief serve me? If your answer is yes, by all means keep that belief. But if it doesn't serve you, then it's time to start thinking and believing in something else.
Feelings
Now, how do your thoughts tie into your feelings that affect your actions and results?
Your thoughts control your feelings. Your feelings are dependent to your thought. You cannot have a feeling or emotion unless there is a thought behind it. And depending on what that thought is, it will determine what you feel.
In other words, you can't think "this is the saddest day of my life" and have a corresponding feeling of absolute joy. You can't feel appreciation when you’re having angry thoughts about your boss. It doesn't work that way.
Feelings are vibrations within your body. If you were to explain what anxiety feels like to a child, you'd probably say worried. But that would probably confuse the child more leading to more questions like, well what does worry mean? So if you want a child to understand, you'll explain the physical aspect of it. Basically, when you feel anxiety, it's when your heart is beating really fast and you feel like you can't breathe. Now try explaining what excitement feels like – basically, your heart is beating really fast and you feel like you can't breathe. Your body has the same physical reaction to anxiety as it does to excitement, but as soon as your mind tries to label that feeling, you exert a different kind of energy.
Your feelings will always be a result of what you're thinking. And the only way to control your feelings is to change the thing it is dependent upon, your thoughts.
Let’s examine, shall we? When you start to feel your heart beating really fast and you feel like you can't breathe and you associate that feeling with thoughts of anxiety, what actions do you suppose you’ll take? When I’m feeling quote-unquote anxious, I can’t think straight. And when I can’t think straight, it’s really hard for me to focus and do anything productive, or anything for that matter. Now let’s flip the switch – when you start to feel your heart beating really fast and you feel like you can't breathe and you associate that feeling with thoughts of excitement, what do you suppose you’d do then? Think about that.
Actions
Your feelings inspire the actions you take. I say "inspire" because you can choose to take action, you can choose to take a type of action, or you can choose not to take any action, the act of doing nothing.
Your feelings do not control your actions, they serve only as an inspiration, a fuel to take action. That is why actions, like your thoughts, are independent because it's free from outside control. You can choose to smile even though you're feeling angry. You can choose to work even though you're feeling sick.
Now there are 3 types of actions:
Non-effort - the act of doing nothing
Intentional effort - taking action because you want to do it, because it feels good
Reaction - which for the most part is a knee-jerk response to a feeling. This could include avoiding to do something out of fear. Or doing something else other than what you’re supposed to be doing because you feel uncomfortable.
Let's review:
Your thoughts control your feelings. Positive or negative thoughts can evoke corresponding emotions and feelings. For example, optimistic thoughts lead to feelings of joy and enthusiasm, while pessimistic thoughts result in feelings of sadness or anxiety.
Your feelings influence your actions. Your emotions and feelings are powerful motivators for action. Positive feelings may inspire proactive and constructive actions, such as pursuing goals or helping others, while negative emotions might lead to reactive actions, like avoidance or defensive behavior.
Your thoughts and feelings heavily impact your decision-making process. Over time, repeated thoughts and associated feelings can establish behavioral patterns. And understanding this interconnectedness allows you to consciously direct your actions towards the outcome you want.
Results
In life, what you think, how you feel, and the actions you take are the building blocks of the results you get.
Think about it as a chain reaction: your thoughts influence your feelings, your feelings drive your actions, and your actions determine the outcomes you experience. Believing in your abilities can boost your self-confidence, leading to purposeful actions and positive results. On the flip side, self-doubt can lead to actions that fall short of your potential and less favorable outcomes.
Recognizing this connection empowers you to be an active participant in your life. By fostering positive thoughts, managing your emotions, and aligning your actions with your goals, you have the tools to shape the reality you want.
